Accounts

Your Mapplic account is where your maps, slots, and billing live. This page covers creating an account, signing in, and managing your profile and security.

Creating an account

You can sign up with Google or with an email and password.

Open the sign-up page

Choose Continue with Google, or fill in the registration form to create an account with email and password.

Continuing with Google creates the account in one step and goes straight to My maps — the steps below apply only to email and password sign-up.

Fill in your details

NameThe person or business using the account.
Email addressUsed to sign in and to receive account email.
PasswordAt least 6 characters.

You must also agree to the terms of service and privacy policy before the Register button becomes active.

Verify your email

Mapplic sends a confirmation link to your address — open it to verify your account. You then land on your My maps page, ready to create your first map.

Signing in

On the login page, choose Continue with Google or sign in with your email and password. Forgot your password? Use the Reset password? link.

Resetting your password

On the reset page, enter the email address associated with your account. Mapplic sends instructions to your inbox so you can set a new password.

Account settings

Open the avatar menu in the header and choose settings. Settings are organized into three tabs.

Profile

SettingDescription
NameName of the person or business using this account.
Email addressYour sign-in email. Select Edit to change it — Mapplic sends a verification link to the new address, and the change takes effect only once it’s verified. Until then, the current email stays active.
AvatarThe avatar shown next to your account.
Log outSign out of Mapplic.

Security

SettingDescription
PasswordSends a reset email to your account address so you can choose a new password.
Delete accountPermanently removes your account and everything in it.

Deleting your account is irreversible — all of your account data and maps are permanently removed. You will be asked to re-authenticate before the deletion goes through.
