WordPress plugin
Install Mapplic as a WordPress plugin and manage your maps directly from the WordPress dashboard.
The WordPress plugin requires an existing WordPress installation. If you don’t use WordPress, use the cloud hosting instead.
Get started
Purchase
Buy the plugin on CodeCanyon for a one-time fee of $189 USD.
The downloaded package includes mapplic-wp.zip, ready to install.
Install
In your WordPress admin, navigate to Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin, upload mapplic-wp.zip, then activate the plugin.
Alternatively, unpack the zip and copy its contents to your wp-content/plugins/ folder.
Build map
Navigate to Maps in your WordPress backend and click Add new map. Use the map builder to configure your map.
Embed
Use the [mapplic-map] shortcode to place the map anywhere on your site:
[mapplic-map id="MAP_ID"]Replace MAP_ID with the post ID of your map, visible in the map builder URL or the Maps list in your WordPress backend.
Wayfinding and usage analytics are not available with the WordPress plugin. Use the cloud hosting for these features.
Updating the plugin
To update the plugin, deactivate and delete the current version, then upload the new mapplic-wp.zip downloaded from CodeCanyon.
Updating from version 7.x or earlier, you are moving to fundamentally new software, which introduces breaking changes and requires manually migrating existing maps.
