Subscriptions & slots
A slot is what activates a single map. Every account starts with free test slots; Basic and Professional slots come from a subscription.
Slots
A slot lets you create a single map. By default, each account has 2 test slots, and you can subscribe to add more Basic or Professional slots as needed. The Map slots widget on your maps page shows how many of each type are used and how many are available.
| Slot | Description |
|---|---|
| Test | Free — 2 per account. A test map stays active for 7 days. |
| Basic | From a Basic subscription. Publishes a map with the Basic feature set. |
| Professional | From a Professional subscription. Unlocks wayfinding and analytics. |
Plans
Mapplic has two plans. Plans are billed monthly or annually — annual billing gives you two months free — and every map includes a 7-day free test, no credit card required.
| Plan | What you get |
|---|---|
| Basic | Cloud map hosting, deploy anywhere in minutes, automatic updates, and technical support. |
| Professional | Everything in Basic, plus A-B wayfinding, map usage analytics, and priority support. |

Applying a slot to a map
Subscribing adds slots to your account; it doesn’t publish a map on its own. To put a slot to work, open a map’s Manage map dialog and apply the slot from its Publish tab.
Managing your subscription
In your account settings, open the Plan tab and choose Manage to open the billing portal. There you can update payment methods, view billing history, download invoices, and cancel. A cancelation stays active until the end of the current billing period.
The number of slots on a plan can be changed at any time, with the difference prorated. Adding slots takes effect immediately and bills only for the remaining days of the current billing period, so the new slots renew on the existing date. Removing slots returns the unused time as account credit — rather than a refund, it stays on the account balance and is applied automatically toward future invoices.
You can hold Basic and Professional subscriptions at the same time — they are managed independently.
